What we do
Break the mold of traditional research laboratories that are limited by geographic boundaries. The ultimate goal of this new model of virtual collaboration is to accelerate the production and dissemination of rigorous research that seeks to improve public mental health.
Measurement
Building and testing psychometric instruments. Conducting latent variable analyses.
Treatments
Understanding the effects of and building evidence for mental health treatments such as psychotherapy, psychotropic medications, and community-based interventions.
Services
Examining the use of outpatient and inpatient mental health care as well as the interplay between the two.
Populations
Focus on children, adolescents, and transition-aged youth and their family members, as well as individuals with a Developmental Disorder, such as those with Autism Spectrum Disorder and/or Intellectual Disability.
Crisis
Specialize in research surrounding the measurement, treatment, and services related to mental health crises. By crisis, we mean an acute disturbance of thought, mood, or behavior that requires immediate intervention and the resources available to safely manage the situation are not available at the time and place of the occurrence.
Generalizability
Investigating how study results extend from the study to target population.
Online Research
Employ internet-mediated techniques across both observational and experimental designs.
